These terms are an agreement between you and the individual developer who publishes the app under the name NamazClick (“we”, “us”) about the NamazClick app and the website at namazclick.com. By installing or using NamazClick you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What NamazClick does
NamazClick helps you keep your phone quiet during congregational prayer (jamaat). You enter your mosque's jamaat times yourself, snap a photo of the mosque's timetable board, or use the times another user shared for a mosque near you. On Android, the app can decline incoming calls (the caller hears busy or reaches voicemail; nothing rings later) and quiet notifications during each window you set, and lists the calls you missed so you can call back. On iPhone, Apple does not allow apps to block calls, so NamazClick reminds you before each jamaat and guides you to set up a Namaz Focus in the iPhone Settings app. The app also shows a map and list of nearby mosques, lets you follow a mosque so its times update when you open the app, and lets you report problems.
2. A test version
This is an early test release (MVP test release), offered free of charge. Features may change, and things may not always work as expected. We welcome your feedback; by sending it you allow us to use it to improve NamazClick without any obligation to you.
3. Prayer times are not guaranteed
Times in NamazClick come from you, from other users, from an AI reading of a photo, or from a calculation. Any of these can be wrong or out of date: a board may have changed, a photo may be misread, a user may make a mistake, and mosques change times with the seasons. We do not guarantee that any time is correct. Check the times with your mosque, especially when the season changes, and always check the times the app read from a photo before you save them. Calculated times are start times for your area, not your mosque's jamaat times.
4. Your responsibilities
- Important calls. During a quiet window, calls you have not allowed will not ring. Use the family list and repeat-caller setting for people who must reach you. Do not rely on NamazClick where missing a call could cause harm. Turn the call guard off whenever you need every call to ring.
- Known limits (Android). Hidden numbers and internet calls (for example WhatsApp) cannot be screened. Android may delay or stop alarms if permissions such as “Alarms and reminders” or Do Not Disturb access are turned off, or because of battery settings. Only one app can screen calls at a time.
- Messages you send. “Send text” opens your SMS app. You decide whether to send, and your carrier's normal charges apply.
- Use NamazClick lawfully, and do not try to copy, reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app or its server except as the law allows.
5. Photos and times you share
NamazClick is for people aged 13 and over. Everything that sends personal data to our server is for people aged 18 or over: uploading a board photo (Snap), sharing times, reporting a problem and following a mosque. Before you first use any of them, the app asks you to accept these terms and confirm that you are 18 or over.
When you send a photo or confirm times for a mosque, you promise that:
- the photo is of a mosque's prayer timetable (a board, a printed sheet or a screen) that you took yourself;
- the times you confirm are, to the best of your knowledge, the ones on the board; and if you add a new mosque, you are at that mosque when you send the photo (a photo from your gallery can only be matched to a mosque already on the map);
- the photo shows the board, not people. Frame it so nobody is in it. A photo in which our automatic check finds people is never stored or shown, and one reported as showing people is hidden at once and deleted within 24 hours, but please avoid them in the first place;
- it does not show anyone's personal details (names, phone numbers, car number plates) other than what a mosque itself publishes on its board.
You keep any rights you have in your photo. You give us a worldwide, free, non-exclusive licence to store, copy, crop, process (including with our AI service, Claude from Anthropic, as the privacy policy explains), display to other NamazClick users and delete it, and to publish the times and mosque details you confirm, so NamazClick can show mosque times to everyone. This licence lasts as long as we keep the content (see the privacy policy). Prayer times and mosque names are factual community information: once published, they may stay on the mosque's page after you delete your data, without any link to you. Contributions are shown anonymously.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use NamazClick to:
- submit times, mosques or locations you know are false, or add places that are not mosques or prayer halls;
- upload photos of people, or anything offensive, hateful, sexual, violent, defamatory or unlawful;
- harass anyone, or target a mosque or community;
- put personal data, links, adverts or spam in a mosque name or report note;
- scrape, flood or overload the service, get around rate limits, fake your location, or use the service in an automated way;
- try to make the AI reader do anything other than read a timetable (for example by writing instructions on a board).
Our community guidelines explain these rules with examples, including our child safety standards.
7. Reports and moderation
Every mosque page has a Report button: wrong times, wrong location, duplicate, shows people, not a mosque, or other. We review reports and may correct, hide or delete any photo, time or mosque, with or without a report, and may hold new contributions for review before they appear. If an install breaks these terms, we may block it from scanning or reporting. A photo reported as showing people is hidden at once and deleted within 24 hours unless a moderator finds no one in it. New mosque names are checked automatically for phone numbers and abusive words, and a user-added mosque that only one person has vouched for is hidden after two people report it as not a mosque, until a moderator looks; other reports are reviewed by hand.
We acknowledge every report or complaint sent to us within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days. We remove unlawful content within 72 hours of a valid request, intimate or impersonating images within 24 hours, and content named in a court or government order within 36 hours. To raise a concern outside the app, email [email protected] (our Grievance Officer, Mohd Zubair, reads it).
8. Maps and mosque data
Mosque locations and names include data from OpenStreetMap, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Maps are drawn by Google Maps (Android) and Apple Maps (iPhone), and “Directions” opens those apps; their own terms apply there. See attribution. Mosque locations and details may be incomplete or wrong. Report them so we can fix them.
9. Religious guidance
NamazClick is a practical tool. It is not a religious authority, and nothing in it is a ruling on prayer times or practice. Follow your mosque and scholars.
10. Licence and ownership
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, under these terms and the rules of the store you got it from (Google Play or the Apple App Store). The NamazClick name, logo, design and software belong to us. Fonts and open-source components are used under their own licences.
11. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains how data is handled. Calls, contacts and messages stay on your phone. Photos, locations and times you send when you use Snap or Mosques are handled as the policy describes.
12. No warranty
To the extent the law allows, NamazClick is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any prayer time, mosque or location is correct, or that it will block or let through any particular call.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for missed calls, missed messages, missed prayers or incorrect times, arising from your use of NamazClick. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app, which is zero. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.
14. Ending use
You can stop using NamazClick at any time by uninstalling it, which removes its data from your phone. We may stop offering the app or any feature. We may end your licence, or block an install from sharing content, if you break these terms.
15. Apple users
If you got NamazClick from the Apple App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no duty to provide support or maintenance for the app and is not responsible for claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies where these terms do not cover a point.
16. Changes
We may update these terms, for example when new features arrive. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for important changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use NamazClick after that means you accept the updated terms.
17. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh have jurisdiction, subject to any right you have to bring a consumer complaint where you live.
