NamazClick

Delete everything in the app

  1. Open NamazClick. Make sure the phone is online.
  2. Tap Settings, then Privacy and data.
  3. Tap Delete all my data and confirm.

What happens:

  • On our server, straight away: the follows, reports, scans and hidden contributors (with the mosques where you hid them) linked to your install ID are deleted, together with their photos and your viewer token. Other people's hides of your contributions are deleted too.
  • On your phone: your jamaat times, settings, message to callers, family list, calls list, followed mosques, saved location, install ID, viewer token and any board photos left in the app's temporary storage are erased. The app returns to its first-run state and makes a new install ID next time it needs one, so nothing new is linked to the old one.
  • If the phone is offline, the app tells you and nothing is lost; try again when you are online. Or choose Delete on this phone only: the app then keeps just the old install ID, in its secure storage, and finishes the deletion on our server the next time it is online. Keep the app installed until then; if you uninstall it first, email us the deletion code shown for the pending deletion under Settings → Privacy and data.

Ask us by email

If you no longer have the app, or something did not work, email us and we will delete it for you.

  1. Write to [email protected] with the subject “Delete my data”.
  2. Include your deletion code if you still have the app (Settings → Privacy and data: twelve letters and digits). It finds your data but cannot be used to act as you, so it is safe to email. Never send anything else from the app. Without the code, tell us the mosque, the approximate date and time of your scans or reports, and your phone model, so we can find them. We have no accounts, so we cannot search by name, phone number or email.
  3. We acknowledge your email within 24 hours and confirm when it is done, within 15 days (the DPDP Rules, 2025 allow at most 90). We may ask a question to make sure we delete the right data.

What is deleted, and what is kept

DataWhen you delete
FollowsDeleted
Reports you sent, including any noteDeleted
Scans: board photos, the times read (the exact location reading is already deleted when you submit a scan, or within 24 hours)Deleted
Photos showing peopleNever stored when our automatic check finds people; a photo reported as showing people is deleted within 24 hours of the report, whatever you do
A mosque's name, location and confirmed timetable that you helped publishStay on the mosque page, because other people rely on them, but are no longer linked to you in any way. If you want a mosque or timetable you added removed, report it in the app or tell us in your email.
Install record: the scrambled install ID, the deletion code, and when it first and last used our serverDeleted. If we blocked the install for abuse, only the block record (scrambled ID and reason) is kept while the block lasts.
Technical and security logs (time, feature used, result, and the install ID and IP address in scrambled form)Which mosques and scans they were about is removed at once. The rest is kept for 400 days (at least one year) from when it was made, then deleted. The DPDP Rules, 2025 (Rules 6 and 8) require us to keep them, and they are used only for security and legal duties. Daily rate-limit counters go after 7 days.
Encrypted backup copies of our database (photos are never in them)Your data drops out of them within 7 days, as each nightly copy is deleted after 7 days. Nobody can open a copy without our key.

Removing the app

This deletes the data on your phone only. Delete your server data first, as above.

Android

Uninstall NamazClick (press and hold its icon, then Uninstall), or go to Settings → Apps → NamazClick → Storage → Clear storage. NamazClick is excluded from Google's cloud backup, so no copy is kept there.

iPhone

Press and hold the NamazClick icon, tap Remove App, then Delete App. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, older backups may still contain app data until they are replaced or deleted. If you set up a Namaz Focus, you can remove it in Settings → Focus.

Stopping without deleting

  • Unfollow a mosque on its page.
  • Turn off camera or location for NamazClick in your phone's settings. The rest of the app keeps working.
  • Enter your times yourself and don't use Snap or Mosques. Then the app sends nothing to our server.
