Who makes it
NamazClick is made by Mohd Zubair, an individual developer in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is an independent project, not a company, and is not affiliated with any mosque, organisation or school of thought.
Why it exists
A phone ringing during jamaat disturbs the person praying and everyone around them. Silencing the phone before every prayer is easy to forget, and turning it back on afterwards is easy to forget too. NamazClick knows your mosque's jamaat times and keeps your phone quiet for each one: on Android it declines calls during the jamaat and lets your family and repeat callers through; on iPhone it reminds you before each jamaat and helps you set up a Namaz Focus. Setting the times takes a minute: snap the mosque's timetable board, pick a mosque nearby, or enter them yourself.
How we treat your privacy
- No account, no ads, and no analytics or crash-reporting software in the app.
- Calls, contacts and messages never leave your phone.
- The server is used only for Snap and Mosques, and what it receives is listed in full in the privacy policy.
- You can delete everything from inside the app. How to delete your data.
Where it stands
NamazClick is free and is in closed testing on Google Play, with TestFlight for iPhone to follow. It is a practical tool, not a religious authority: always follow your mosque and scholars.
